History

Back in 2003, Mario Zsaitsits founded TIDIRIUM together with fellow enthusiastic musicians based in the outskirts of Vienna.

The extraordinary name TIDIRIUM refers to the spaceship called “Tydirium” from “Star Wars” episode 6, that takes the rebels to their final victory. In “real life”, TIDIRIUM stands for music of the highest quality and remarkable performances. We enjoy entertaining and inspiring our audience with commitment and musical excellence, playing well known melodies as well as our own compositions.

Today Helmut Zsaitsits is leading the brassband and striving indefatigably to get Bohemian-Moravian music to where we think it belongs – people’s hearts.

We have been honored to play at various events in Austria as well as abroad. Highlights include our performance in Hodonin (CZ), where we were celebrated as the first foreign brassband to play at the legendary Bohemian-Moravian musicians’ ball, we were acclaimed at the Exklusiv Blosmusik Club in Strassbourg (F) and convinced our audience at the “Woodstock der Blasmusik” (OÖ) aswell as at the “Giganten der Blasmusik” in Bad Kösen (D) and St. Andrä. A concert tour to Switzerland with the “BBB” followed and we got rapturous applaus at the Kirtag in Aspang. Now we hope we’ve also convinced you and would be happy if you joined our enthusiasm for wonderful brassmusic. Maybe we can already welcome you at our next performance.
